Music infuses the way we live, work, play, shop and even sleep. Music is also a multi-billion-dollar industry.  So why are so few musicians, even really good musicians, making a living? As musicians, we are asked to fend for ourselves–serving as entrepreneurs, financial advisors, marketers, social media developers and public relations experts.

It’s a wonder we get a chance to make music at all.  Then, we are expected to turn our music over to a platform that has made billions of dollars from musicians, while offering a living wage to less than 0.001% of the musicians it “serves”.

Enough is enough.

Join us at The Music Insurgency. This organization was built by musicians, for musicians, and has the express purpose of helping musicians and fans connect. We are here to help artists find new fans, and help listeners fall in love with being fans again. And of course, offering musicians a chance to make a living wage again. Do it for the music. Do it for the musicians.
